The Arc North Florida will host its 5th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament on Friday May 1st to raise money for services and advocacy provided to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Tournament will be held at The Country Club at Lake City and presented by Poole Realty. The event will include an 18 hole scramble, lunch, awards ceremony, raffles and door prizes. Registration begins 8:00 am with a shotgun start at 8:30 am.
Organized by The Arc North Florida, the golf tournament is one of several annual campaigns to promote awareness for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The fundraiser directly supports the programs offered to adult clients in Baker, Columbia, Hamilton, Lafayette and Suwannee counties.
"The Benefit Golf Tournament, which raised over $12,500 in 2014, has become a fun and important annual event to support The Arc North Florida clients", Executive Director, Bobbie Lake said. "Thanks to the generosity of the many people who make it successful, we are able to make a significant difference in the lives of our clients", said Lake.
This year awards will be given for first, second and third place teams, gross and net, with additional prizes for closet to the pin in two, longest putt and closest to the line. Enter as a four person team for $200 or an individual golfer for $55. Paid entry includes green fees, cart, lunch and a goody bag.
