This past Friday the 11th, golfers came together to participate in The Arc North Florida’s 2nd Annual Benefit Golf Tournament at The Country Club at Lake City. The tournament was presented by Poole Realty and the players that turned out helped to raise funds for The Arc North Florida while gaining a greater awareness of the needs of people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the North Florida area.
The Vision comes full circle and we wanted to share the joy with you!
14th Annual Lawn Mower Race
The Arc North Florida was wet and ready to go with one of the favorite events of the year. The Annual Lawn Mower Race brought over 200 supporters out to join the fun and raise awareness of the needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Track was set up at John's Lawn Equipment in Live Oak and John supplied the Snapper mowers. Racers sponsored by community businesses and families showed up to compete for the win! Local NASCAR driver, Fain Skinner, was there as well signing autographs and answering questions about his car. Read more and view over 100 photos of this event!
Bobbie Lake, Executive Director of The Arc North Florida, was presented the Robert Ettinger Award for Executive Excellence at The Arc of Florida’s Annual Conference held in West Palm Beach, Florida.
This award recognizes an Arc local chapter Executive Director who has demonstrated outstanding quality performance in the areas of advocacy; management and administration; innovation; staff, parent, and consumer relations; community involvement; and program success. Lake is pictured receiving the award from Michelle Poole, President of The Arc of Florida.
